Been here before, or not at all — a link to your address is the way in either way. No password to remember: put in your address and we send you one.

If you are new, you need an invite code as well as the link. No profile to fill in, no photograph, no real name — you get given a name that is not yours, and that is all anybody ever sees.

These bring you in once you have connected them, which you do from your settings once you are in. An address a provider hands us is not proof of who is at the keyboard, so on its own it is never enough to open an account here.

We ask them for your email address and nothing else — not your name, not your photograph, not your friends. We never post anything.

We use it to let you in, and to tell you when a hug arrives. Nothing else, and we never show it to anybody.

The two rules

  1. Be kind. That is what everyone is here for.
  2. Nobody ever asks anybody for money. Not for any reason, not once. If someone does, tell us and they are gone the same day.

You need to be 18 or over to join.

This is not a helpline, a counselling service, or medical care of any kind, and nobody here is a professional anything. It is people being kind to each other. If you need real help, the people who do that properly are better at it than we are. Find someone who can help properly.
